Mirth Control is dedicated towards encouraging new talent, while also showcasing comic brilliance at their shows. Most famous comedians of today, Jimmy Carr, Stuart Silver, Mackenzie Crook, Stephen Merchant, Alan Carr, Matthew Horne and Justin Lee Collins, began their comic careers with Mirth Control. The sheer wealth of talent engaged by Mirth Control is courtesy its founder Geoff Whiting. Geoff Whiting has been a stand-up comedian for the past 11 years with 3500 shows to his credit. The constant gigging, 300 days a year in the UK comedy circuit, has made Geoff an excellent talent tracker. Mirth Control is a rare example of a famed and professional comedy club organization consciously tracking new talent to debut on professional platforms.
