Whether you are a student or an adult, we all have been through the pandemic brain fog. Brain fog basically means, you are feeling a lot of emotions and your brain is just slowing down for no reason. This is super normal since keeping in mind the pandemic. Brain fog is not only annoying but you take longer to simple and basic tasks, hence you end up wasting a lot of your time. So here are 3 things you can do to get over pandemic brain fog:
Monitor your sleep, brain fog happens when you are not getting your complete good night’s sleep of six to eight hours. Well, it is easier said than done, but sleep is important, cut down on your screen time before bed, have your meal at least 3 to 4 hours before going to bed.
Well considering the pandemic, you really cannot go out on vacations or holidays, but you can do other things on weekends. Take breaks from your screen and do something else around the house. Cook, clean, practice your favourite hobby, spend time with your family, etc.
“Give yourself some grace. Tell yourself that it’s OK to be adjusting to all of this and that it’s OK to be feeling what you’re feeling,” Jessica Gold said, an assistant professor in the department of psychiatry at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Motivating and reminding yourself that you are doing great is very important in these desperate times.
