Play something different for every weekend. Like a movie night, game night, or any other activity. Don’t keep any office work for the weekend, take your weekend to relax and spend some time with your family.
Set a particular time to do your house chores preferably keep it in the morning. This will help you get into a routine and keep your mornings busy. Plus if your done with your chores in the morning, you can do your office work without any disturbance.
If you have children or a big family, meal planning is the best way to keep yourself relaxed on those busy work days. On the weekends, you can have a family meeting and decide the meals for the whole week beforehand. Write them down on a piece of paper and stick on your fridge. you can even do some prep work during the weekends to keep yourself relaxed on work days.
On the day of Thanksgiving, before eating, it is a ritual to go around the table and say what you are thankful for. You could do this every night before your dinner. Being thankful for the smallest things is the best way to stay positive in every situation.
You can meditate by yourself or with your family. Take out just 5 minutes from each day and sit in silence and observe your breathe. Reflect on your day, reflect on all the thoughts you had during the day and discard the ones you don’t like.
