Hurricane Ida has caused major havoc in the United States of America. It has been categorised as a Category 4 storm after it wrought severe destruction into Louisiana from the Gulf of Mexico. The coast was lashed with 150 mile-per-hour winds which were accompanied by downpours. In the New Orleans metropolitan area, the hurricane caused a massive power outbreak (the transmission tower fell into the Mississippi river).
