From January 3, 2022, all government workers and the general public who visit government facilities will be required to adhere to the green status protocol on the Al Hosn app. The declaration was made on Sunday by the National Crisis and Emergency Management Authority and the Ministry of Health and Community Protection.

All federal government offices in all emirates would be required to follow the procedure. The decision was taken by the UAE’s Covid-19 recovery effort and to protect public safety. Unvaccinated persons and those with a ‘grey status’ on the Al Hosn app would be denied entrance to federal government institutions, according to the Ministry of Health and Prevention.
If you have a vaccine exemption, you will be exempt if your status on the Al Hosn app is green. This will necessitate a PCR test every seven days. Children under the age of 16 are excluded as well.
