It’s my favourite month of the year. Winter is well and fully settled in, festivities are its peak, twinkling lights are for some reason ‘twinklier’, and Dubai comes alive like never before. Why am I telling you all this? Well, because that means that I’m going to give you the choicest, fun-est things to do in December 2022 in Dubai! Psst, it’s a long list, so I’m going to make sub-lists for you to click on if you are interested! Party on because here comes a fabulous things to do in December 2022 in Dubai list.
1. Winter Garden At Habtoor Palace

If anyone knows how to celebrate Christmas, it has to be the Winter Garden. Coinciding perfectly with the National Holiday weekend, you can head to the Al Habtoor City Hotel Collection for the grand reveal of the Christmas Tree. There will be the customary Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony, where the grand reveal of its festive illumination and décor will happen.
All through December, expect magical performances straight out of a fairytale like the Christmas choir and special daily visits from Santa. The Christmas choir is no ordinary spectacle. Resident vocalists Maria B and Alice Kube mix elements of acoustic soul, RnB, and pop flavors in their music, creating soothing symphonies of popular tunes.
This year, the chrostmas ceremony is expected to be bigger and grander with more kiosks since the first grand opening and the recent development of no more masks.

2. Winter City At Expo City Dubai

Beginning Friday, 9 December a whole range of Christmas celebrations will be underway. Winter City is absolutely free to visit, which means that everyone is welcome to the Christmas delight. Please note that a few activities & workshops are chargeable.
Here’s what you can look forward to from December 9th:
- A jaw-dropping 52-foot Christmas tree that will be lit up at Al Wasl Dome, celebrating the theme of ‘White Christmas’
- The second edition of Expo 2020’s popular Mrs Claus Christmas Show from December 20-29 which will include live entertainment, and something you should definitely not miss out on!
- Daily nightly projection shows
- Gingerbread, wreath and ornament-making workshops
- A Santa’s Grotto
- A dedicated place for kids to post their letters to Santa

3. Eat All You Can Sushi & Dimsum For AED 51

Golden Dragon, Dubai’s first Chinese restaurant has a historical legacy of more than 4 decades in the Emirate. A home to Sushi & Dimsum fanatics serving a variety Asian specialties from all over Asia, including Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, has now expanded the flavours to delight the customers. 4. 51st UAE National Day Celebrations At Global Village

Global Village, is gearing up for the 51st UAE National Day with guests able to enjoy spectacular musical performances, along with themed activities and entertainment, starting from December 1 to December 4. Global Village guests will be able to enjoy a special orchestra made up of 33 talented musicians who will be performing a selection of traditional songs on the main stage, including the national anthem Ishy Bilady. A violinist and harpist will also be performing a selection of popular Emirati songs to commemorate the UAE National Day celebrations.

From December 2022 to June 2023, Tomorrowland is planning to give us a once in a lifetime experience as they open a unique retreat in the Dubai desert called Terra Solis! This will be an absolutely incredible experience with luxe glamping, the best live musicians and DJs, rustic dining and an incredible pool designed for epic day-to-night parties.
For the launch on Friday, December 9th, German DJ and Tomorrowland regular Paul Kalkbrenner is set to headline the opening! Additional DJs including Matt Jones, Aaryon, Masha Vincente, and Capoon will also be playing. Tickets start from AED 300 and are now available at Platinumlist. 10. Nancy Ajram Live At Global Village
Dates: December 12
Following the start of the highly anticipated Season 27 concerts, Global Village announced that Arab superstar Nancy Ajram will be performing live on Monday, December 12 starting 9pm, at the Global Village Main Stage. Chosen by the UNICEF as the first female regional ambassador for the Middle East and North Africa in 2009, Ajram is an influential contributor in the Arab music industry and has previously been named one of the top female Arab artists by Forbes, and the world’s bestselling Middle Eastern artist at the World Music Awards.
Nancy Ajram is the second artist to be announced for the Season 27 concert line-up after
Myriam Fares, the Arab ‘Queen of the Stage’, enthralled Global Village crowds with her
performance earlier in November. Concerts at the Global Village Main Stage are open to all, with designated areas for families and ladies so that everyone can enjoy Season 27’s line-up.

13. Meet Santa & His Elves At The Beach, JBR
Santa and his elves are making a pit stop every weekend at The Beach opposite JBR from 9th December until 24th December.
