Subway, the global sandwich chain, has recently launched a new menu featuring plant-based options in the United Arab Emirates as part of its efforts to cater to the growing demand for vegan food options. When Gulf Buzz heard about the new launch we knew we had to try it out. Dhruv from our team went over to the Subway at Arjan and indulged in some of the newly launched delicacies. Here’s what we thought about it:

New Launches At Subway UAE
The menu, which was introduced to coincide with Veganuary, includes two new plant-based subs – the T.L.C. (Tastes.Like.Chicken) and Vegan Sub-Roll. As a true blue non-vegetarian, we do have to say that the T.L.C. does live up to its name and is mad delicious! It’s made of plant-based schnitzel, got a nice crunch to it, and leaves you with a lingering taste of yumminess. The Vegan sub-roll was just as good, made with nuggets and tasty sauces & is a definite must try.
Another one of our favourites were the Vegan Nuggets. Now an important disclaimer here is that our team is a hardcore fan of chicken nuggets, so we were rather apprehensive about this one. However, the nuggets turned out to be a pleasant surprise, and we do see vegetarians and vegans lining up to try these delicious offerings by Subway.

The menu also features a Vegan Double Choc Cookie, which is a plant-based dessert option for those who have a sweet tooth. The brand claims that all the plant-based options available in the menu are made with high-quality ingredients and are designed to provide customers with a delicious and nutritious meal option. We actually did enjoy the cookie quite a bit. It was nice and chewy, and again something we would happily recommend. As far as cookie go, we’d give this an 8/10.

With more and more people opting for a plant-based diet, Subway’s new menu is a welcome addition to the UAE’s dining scene, providing customers with delicious, convenient and healthy meal options.
