Direct Access Bridge For Key Locations
One of the most thrilling parts of this mega road project is the construction of a new 300-metre bridge on Sheikh Zayed Road. This single-lane bridge will provide direct access to the Mall of the Emirates parking lots, making it much more convenient for drivers coming from locations like Abu Dhabi and Jebel Ali. The new infrastructure will slash travel time for drivers coming from Abu Dhabi and Jebel Ali from 10 minutes to just 1 minute.
Improved Intersections & Ramps
But that’s not all! The ramp at Umm Suqeim intersection will be widened, and the intersection itself will be improved. This means a smoother drive from Umm Suqeim Street straight to the mall’s parking lots. For those coming from Umm Suqeim, the travel time will be cut from 15 minutes to 8 minutes, making your trips faster

This includes developing three signalised intersections, upgrading the bus station at the Mall of the Emirates Metro Station, and converting the street next to the Kempinski Hotel from one-way to two-way. Pedestrian and cycling lanes will also get a boost, along with new paving, lighting, traffic signals, rainwater drainage, and landscaping.
Official dates for the completion have not been released yet, but with these incredible enhancements, visiting the Mall of the Emirates is about to become your new favourite activity!
