The FIFA World Cup 2022 is almost here and the anticipation is making us all go crazy! To mark the highly anticipated FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 this November, Dubai Media City Amphitheatre will transform into the Fan Zone in the UAE. Packing an almighty Festive punch, the Fanzone will have loads of added features, including a huge festive market!
After years of preparation and mounting excitement the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 countdown has officially begun. Today sees the announcement of amazing news for football fans as DGT and McGettigan Hospitality announced that they have signed an agreement with Dubai Media City Amphitheatre to bring memorable football fan experience to Dubai.
It’ll run for the entirety of the tournament, from the first kick off on Monday 21 November, to the final whistle on Sunday 18 December. The party will be going before and long after the ref blows his final whistle. It’s going to include plenty of live music and fun for all the family.
The teams have previously organized a number of world-class events and concerts in the venue, including Ed Sheeran, Lionel Richie, Party in the Park, and the St Patrick’s Day Shake your Shamrock festival, so partners and guests can rest assured that there will be world-class entertainment, an unrivalled atmosphere, and the very best food & drink on tap.
Given the size and magnitude of this incredible outdoor space, the UAE’s largest TV screen will be installed to ensure every fan feels like they’re part of the action. An unrivalled fan zone warrants unrivalled prizes and giveaways, which will be revealed in due course.
FAMILY ZONE
This place is for everyone and so, a dedicated family zone will ensure that every age group gets to feel the vibe and atmosphere of the tournament. With picnic benches, plenty of F&B options, hot chocolate, mulled grape, festive treats, and plenty of screens for those that want to watch the games in a more relaxed setting, the experience is going to be awesome! Live music and a dedicated entertainment stage will add to the family fun.
WINTERFEST ZONE
The Fanzone will also play host to Winterfest, with the festive season really kicking off on Thursday 24th November with a magical Christmas tree lighting experience. The Winterfest zone will prove the ultimate Winter experience for both families and groups of friends throughout the tournament.
In addition, there will be a snow park, skating rink, festive market, Santa’s grotto, and plenty of entertainment and activities, including The Polar Express, The Christmas Jumper Party, Festive Movie Nights, Winterfest Holiday Camp, and of course lots of mulled wine!
