Starting Thursday, August 1, motorists in Abu Dhabi will have to use a new app to report minor accidents. This initiative is a collaboration between the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police and Saaed Traffic Systems Company. Motorists are encouraged to use the Saaed Smart application instead of calling the emergency number 999 for minor accidents. This helps keep the emergency line free for more urgent situations. To Keep Traffic Flowing
One of the main reasons for this new app is to ensure that vehicles involved in minor accidents are moved off the road quickly to avoid blocking traffic. Remember, stopping in the middle of the road without a good reason is a traffic violation, and it can result in a fine of AED 1,000 and 6 black points on your license.
How To Use The App?
Using the Saaed Smart app to report an accident is straightforward:
- Download the App: Download and open the Saaed Smart application.
- Select Service: Choose the accident reporting service.
- Enter Phone Number: This helps the system automatically determine your location.
- Choose Accident Type: Select the type of accident.
- Upload Documents:
- Car ownership photo
- Driver’s license photo
- Photos of both vehicles involved and the damage
- Verify Information: Confirm all details about the people and vehicles involved in the accident.
- Submit Request: Select ‘OK’ to complete the request process successfully.

Getting The Accident Report
Once you’ve submitted all the required information, the app uses an interactive map to pinpoint the accident location and upload details quickly. You’ll receive a confirmation of your request and the accident report through smart notifications.
This new system aims to make reporting minor accidents faster and easier, ensuring that Abu Dhabi’s roads remain clear and safe for everyone.
