The Ajman criminal court condemned a lady to three months in jail followed by deportation and fined her AED 50,000 for practising black magic. According to the police investigation, the accused went to a woman’s salon in Ajman and entered the restroom. After she departed, the salon owner went to the bathroom and discovered a wrapped paper, green thread, clothing, and incense.
The salon owner then asked the owner to empty her luggage before she departed and discovered talismans, a yellow thread, and plants in it. The UAE has severe anti-black magic or sorcery legislation, and it is absolutely against the country’s morality.
The accused acknowledged in court that another lady gave her the incense and talismans to perform voodoo on the salon owner. The accused was found guilty of practising fraud and sorcery to harm others by employing prohibited techniques and means to affect the hearts, minds, and wills of others.
