Innovation Centre at the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park is a very unique structure. It is the largest single-site solar park in the entire world which is based on the Independent Power Producer (IPP) model. This centre is right now in its initial stages, to increase energy production, the later stages will use the latest solar photovoltaic bifacial technologies with Single Axis Tracking.

Announcing on Twitter, Sheikh Mohammed said: “Our end goal of the huge project is to produce 5000 megawatts before 2030. Clean energy in Dubai will constitute 13 per cent before the end of the year, and our goal is 75 per cent before 2050 and we are proceeding successfully according to our plan”.
This year, the innovation centre will produce 300 megawatts of energy that can fulfil the energy needs of 90,000 houses. By 2030, it is expected to produce about 5,000 megawatts. Upon completion, it is expected to save over 6.5 million tonnes of carbon emissions annually. The fifth stage of completion is said to provide clean energy to over 270,000 houses in Dubai, along with the 90,000 houses by the commissioned first stage.
