Chattels Sustainable Design Contest: Opportunity To Win AED 50,000 In Collab With Dubai Home Festival

Chattels & More, the esteemed homegrown lifestyle and home décor brand, a part of Easa Al Gurg Group, is thrilled to announce a remarkable design contest in collaboration with Dubai Home Festival (DHF). This contest is open to all Dubai residents and emphasizes innovation, creativity, and sustainability. It offers home interior enthusiasts and aspiring designers a unique opportunity to bring to life their vision of the iconic “&” chair from Chattels & More’s logo emblem. The grand prize for this contest is an astounding AED 50,000, with generous shopping vouchers awarded to the runners-up to transform their living spaces.

Adding to the excitement, the winners will have the exclusive opportunity to see their designs materialize as a limited-edition series with their names, showcased and sold at the Chattels & More showroom in the Mall of Emirates. In line with the brand’s sustainability mission and the UAE’s Year of Sustainability, the proceeds from this collection will be directed towards the Ministry of Climate Change & Environment – UAE.

Registration for the contest opens on September 6th, and designers have until September 28th to submit their designs. The finalists will be revealed on October 20th, during DHF, leading up to the grand finale on December 11th at Chattels & More’s Mall of the Emirates location. At this event, finalists will witness their visions come to life, crafted by Al Gurg Joinery. The crowning moment will also give finalists the privilege of presenting their concepts to a distinguished grand panel, including senior management from Chattels & More, Al Gurg shareholders, senior management from Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (the organizers of Dubai Home Festival), and accomplished UAE-based designers.

Adrian Shaw, CEO of Chattels & More, extends a heartfelt invitation to all UAE residents to participate in the Chattels Design Contest, expressing excitement about this collaboration with Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment and the Dubai Home Festival.

Mohammed Feras Arayqat, Director Retail Registration, Retail and Strategic Alliances at Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, emphasizes that Dubai Home Festival is more than just a shopping event—it celebrates Dubai’s vibrant furniture and interior scene. For the 5th edition of the festival, they aim to support the growth of the furniture and interiors sector, including homegrown brands like Chattels & More, while highlighting the importance of sustainable design.

The Chattels Design Contest provides an incredible opportunity for the UAE’s most innovative minds to turn their grandest ideas into reality. This platform seamlessly combines innovation, creativity, and sustainability, aligning with Dubai’s commitment to fostering a vibrant design culture.
