Airport Technology has come a long way since the pandemic. With people all around the world trying to reduce traffic in public places, new devices and ideas are literally coming up every day. Dubai International Airport already has a system of smart gates and biometric systems but it is soon expected to have something more, a selfie to check-in!

Vision-Box is the company that previously came up with the technology of smart gates and biometric systems, now it has something new. Osama Nawayseh, Middle East Sales Manager at Vision-Box says: “In the future, the mobility of the passenger – and the technology provided to automate the passenger movement – is part of the airport design. There are no barriers, there are no doors – you simply walk to the departure gates and just go to the aircraft. It saves time (and) instead of expanding your airport, you just maintain the same space you have.”
