UAE residents can now get vaccinated for COVID-19. Finally some good news for this year is here! The health authorities and the government have released a complete list of hospitals and clinics that conducting the vaccination program.
In Abu Dhabi the vaccination program which was voluntary began many days ago, but this has now been extended to the Northern Emirates and Dubai as well. UAE residents can now register for a vaccine and get vaccinated for free.
The vaccine available at various centers in the UAE is the Sinopharm vaccine, developed by China. The vaccine will be given to the registered citizens in two doses, each will be 21 days apart. It is said to have 86% efficiency and has been approved after the phase 3 trials. The vaccine trials conducted in summer in the UAE involved almost 31,000 people. To get vaccinated, you must carry your Emirates ID and healthcare cards/ health insurance to your respective center.
Currently, all the above mentioned centers vaccinate people free of cost. You can register and book an appointment by visiting the official site of a center which is near you.
The following cities have COVID-19 vaccination centers:
Dubai: Dubai Parks and Resorts field hospital.
Fujairah: Murashied Medical Centre.
Abu Dhabi: All Seha clinics, clinics and hospitals run by VPS Healthcare and the emirate’s public health operator.
Umm Al Quwain: Al Bait Metwahid center
Sharjah: Wasit Medical Centre
Ajman: Al Humaidiya Centre
