What Is It?

Starting at 9:00 AM, participants are encouraged to arrive slightly earlier to prepare for a day filled with health, fitness, and combat activities. Throughout the marathon, a talented DJ will be spinning energizing beats, providing the perfect soundtrack to keep participants motivated.

Dubai’s Jujitsu community will be hosting a 24-hour rollathon on the mats. This open mats session welcomes participants of all ability levels and belt ranges to engage in the martial art. It promises to be an unforgettable experience for grappling enthusiasts.

Meanwhile, the combats area will come alive with the sound of punches landing on pads as the pads team showcases their skills. Participants are advised to book their slots in advance to secure their place in this exhilarating activity.

Upstairs, a variety of bootcamps, yoga sessions, and wellness workshops will be available. Attendees can explore holistic wellness approaches, receive guidance on sustainable nutrition, and practice breathing exercises accompanied by visualization techniques.

To enhance the recovery experience, Recovery Rooms DXB will be present, offering services such as ice-baths, massages, foam rollers, and a positive atmosphere throughout the event.

Pricing & Structure

For an affordable fee of AED 150 per person, participants have the freedom to come and go as they please. They can cherry-pick activities from the schedule or choose to stay for the entire duration.

A Chance To Contribute

Beyond promoting health and fitness, this event aims to support Ty, who recently suffered life-changing injuries in a motorbike accident. On January 22nd, Ty was involved in a collision with another motorbike on the 311 highway in Dubai. The accident resulted in Ty sustaining multiple injuries.

As stated by Jodie Weaver, who is running a GoFundMe page for Ty – Ty has received care at the Parkview Mediclinic hospital in Dubai. However, the medical bills have been mounting, and Ty may remain paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life.

Currently, Ty’s medical bill stands at AED 350,000 (approximately £79,000), and the estimated cost of rehabilitation is AED 120,000 per month (£27,100). It is uncertain how many months of rehabilitation Ty will require, but it is expected to be at least three months.

Despite the challenges, Ty has shown incredible strength and resilience. His dedication to fitness and sports has been a defining aspect of his life. While it may be impossible to cover the complete cost of his care, any contributions made towards the smaller expenses would greatly alleviate the financial burden on Ty and his partner, Lydia.

In gratitude for support, Ty has committed to dedicating his upcoming memoir, titled “Road to Recovery,” to everyone who donates.

This event serves as an opportunity to come together as a community, promote health and fitness, and support someone in need.
