Dubai Brings Back Abra Water Taxis – Get Around Town For AED 2 Only!

RTA has just relaunched the abra water taxis along the Dubai Canal, making it easier for residents and workers to connect with popular areas like Marasi, Dubai Design District, and more. What Are Dubai Abra Operating Hours?

You can catch a ride from Monday to Saturday between 8 am and 10 pm and on Sundays from 10 am to 10 pm. These water taxis operate every 30 to 50 minutes, making it a flexible way to get around.

Where Does The DC2 Abra Route Connect Around Dubai?

The DC2 route connects major stops throughout Business Bay, providing quick and direct access to several areas. Here’s where you can hop on or off:

  • Al Wajeha Al Maeyah Station
  • Marasi Station
  • Business Bay Station
  • Godolphin Station
  • Sheikh Zayed Road Station

Connecting To The Metro & Dubai Design District With The DC3 Route

Need to get to Dubai Design District? Or maybe you’re looking to connect with the Metro? The DC3 route is your best bet! This line links Al Jaddaf Marine Transport Station with Dubai Design District, giving you easy access to Al Jaddaf Metro Station on the Green Line.

How To Buy Tickets

Tickets are available right at the marine stations, or you can buy them online to save time. Here’s how:

  1. Visit the RTA’s marine website.
  2. Select ‘Dubai Canal’ and choose the ‘abra’ option.
  3. Choose your route, select the number of tickets, and enter your details to complete payment.

After that, you’ll receive an email with a QR code to scan at the station. Payment options for the AED 2 fee include cash, Nol card, credit, or debit cards. Good news: kids under five and People of Determination ride free!
