The Proposed Route
Construction for the Blue Line is set to begin this year. The Blue Line will connect to the existing Centrepoint station on the Red Line and Creek station on the Green Line.
- From Centrepoint: The line will travel through Mirdif, where there’s likely to be a station near Mirdif City Centre Mall. From there, it will pass through Al Warqa, Dubai International City (1, 2, and 3), and Dubai Silicon Oasis, before ending at Dubai International Academic City.
- From Creek: The Blue Line will cross over Dubai Creek, stopping at Dubai Festival City, Dubai Creek Harbour, and Ras Al Khor Industrial Area. It will then connect with the line coming from Centrepoint at Dubai International City 1, making that station a key transfer point.

Will The Line Be Mostly Underground?
Out of the 30 km route, about 15.5 km of the track will be underground, with a depth of up to 70 meters. 5 of the proposed 14 stations will be designated as underground stations, marked in yellow on the route map.
When Will It Be Ready?
While an official completion date hasn’t been confirmed, reports suggest the launch of the Blue Line may happen hand in hand with the 20th anniversary of the Dubai Metro in 2029!
