The Dubai Metro has undergone some significant changes recently, and the latest update is one that commuters may not like – a new increased minimum top-up amount for NOL cards has come into place. When To Top Up AED 50 On Your NOL Card
Don’t worry, all hope is not lost. There is still still some good news. This new minimum top-up requirement doesn’t apply to online transactions. You can still top up your Nol card with any amount you choose through the Nol Pay app, the official RTA website, or the RTA Dubai app. So, if you’re looking to add a smaller amount to your card, going digital is the way to go. But if you’re at the station and need a quick top-up, be prepared to shell out the AED 50.
Other Changes Made To The Dubai Metro
In addition to the changes in NOL card top-ups, there’s also an important update for those travelling on the Red Line. If your destination is either the EXPO2020 Station or the UAE Exchange Station, there’s no longer a need to change trains at Jebel Ali. The Red Line now offers direct service to these stations, making your journey smoother and faster.
