Dubai is all set to kick off the third edition of the Dubai Metro Music Festival on March 6th! Organized by Brand Dubai in collaboration with the Roads and Transport Authority, this week-long celebration of global music promises to be bigger and better than ever before. Eclectic Line-Up of Musicians
This year’s festival brings together 20 musicians from 14 countries, including Egypt, India, France, Thailand, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Nigeria, Cuba, the United Kingdom, Lebanon, Canada, the Netherlands, Jordan, and Australia. Commuters at five Dubai Metro stations – Union, Mall of Emirates, Burjuman, Dubai Financial Centre, and Sobha Realty – can enjoy an eclectic line-up of performances featuring string, percussion, wind, acoustic, and unusual instruments, including ones made from recycled objects.

Sustainability Theme
This year’s event is dedicated to the theme of sustainability in line with the UAE’s announcement of 2023 as the ‘Year of Sustainability’. The festival is an excellent opportunity for musicians to showcase their talent using instruments made from recycled materials.

Exciting Performances by Talented Musicians
The Dubai Metro Music Festival promises to be an unforgettable experience for commuters and music lovers. This year, the festival features special performances by Iman Al-Raisi, an Emirati electric guitarist, and self-taught Saudi musician Shadi Al-Harbi, who will play the oud. Additionally, audiences will be introduced to new instruments like the flute beatbox and folk beatboxing, which will take place from 4 pm to 10 pm across selected metro stations.
Director of Brand Dubai, Shaima Al Suwaidi, is excited about the event, saying, “The festival reflects the city’s emergence as an international cultural hub. The event also further raises Dubai’s profile as one of the world’s best places to live and visit.”
