Big changes are coming to Dubai’s public transport network! The Dubai RTA is introducing 4 brand-new metro link bus routes, ready to roll out on August 30. There will even be some old bus routes that will be removed from the list of journeys for the Dubai bus. But fear not because these new routes will make your journey around the city even smoother than before, offering convenient connections to popular areas. Out With The Old & In With The New
Say goodbye to the old Route 31, which will be split into two fresh routes—F39 and F40. Additionally, Route F56 will make way for F58 and F59. Best of all, these new routes will have buses running every 30 minutes, ensuring you won’t have to wait long for your ride.
Enhancements To Existing Routes
But that’s not all – the RTA is also giving a boost to several other bus routes, including one intercity option. These improvements are designed to simplify your travel and make it easier to get where you need to go. Below is a quick look at how the new routes will be operating:
- Route F39: This new route connects Etisalat Bus Station to Oud Al Muteena Roundabout Bus Stop 1 and back.
- Route F40: Running from Etisalat Bus Station, this route heads towards Mirdif, Street 78, and back.
- Route F58: Traveling north, this route will link Al Khail Metro Station to Dubai Internet City and back.
- Route F59: Operating between Dubai Internet City Metro Station and Dubai Knowledge Village, this route takes you northward and back.

Key Changes To Current Routes
And several existing bus routes will be modified to enhance your experience:
- Route 21 is being revamped and split into two separate routes: 21A and 21B.
- 21A will travel from Al Quoz Clinical Pathology Services Bus Stop 1 to Al Ghubaiba Bus Station.
- 21B will do the reverse, starting from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station and heading to Al Quoz Clinical Pathology Services Bus Stop 1.
- Route 61D will be merged with Route 66, streamlining service.
- Route 95 will combine with Route 95A, connecting passengers to Route X92. Route 95A will now begin at Veneto, Jebel Ali Waterfront, and end at Parco Hypermarket, covering the Jebel Ali Industrial Area.
- Route 6 will shorten its journey, now only running from Oud Metha Metro Station to Dubai Healthcare City, as the section from Al Ghubaiba Station to Oud Metha is being removed.
- Route 99 will expand to cover JAFZA One.
- Route F31 will introduce new stops in The Greens, making it more accessible.
- Route F45 will get new stops in Al Furjan to better serve this community.
- Route F54 will no longer stop at JAFZA One.
- Intercity Route E700 will now start at Etisalat Bus Station instead of Union Bus Station, continuing to Fujairah.
