Why Is Dubai Having A Month-Long Celebration?
This month-long celebration, called the ‘Zayed and Rashid’ initiative, is a special tribute to the UAE’s founding fathers – Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum. Launched by Dubai in collaboration with 16 different entities from the government to the private sector, this initiative will coincide with two major national events: UAE Flag Day (Sunday, November 3rd) and the 53rd UAE National Day (Monday, December 2nd)! Let’s take a look at all the fun festivities we can look forward to:
1. Fireworks To Light Up Dubai
If you’re a fan of fireworks, mark your calendar! On December 2nd and 3rd, stunning fireworks will light up the sky in multiple locations, including: (timing to be announced closer to the dates)

- Al Seef
- Dubai Festival City Mall
- Global Village
For something extra special, head to Hatta, where the fireworks will be accompanied by live folk dances and music performances. Plus, during the entire month, you can catch fireworks every evening at Global Village at 9 pm!
