The Emirates Astronomical Society (EAS) confirmed on Tuesday that Eid Al Fitr will fall on May 2. According to Ibrahim Al Jarwan, Chairman of the EAS Board, the first day of Shawwal in the Islamic calendar is expected to happen on Monday, May 2, 2022. The UAE moon-sighting committee will meet to determine the official Eid start date.
