Emirates Astronomical Society: Announces 2nd May As Expected Date For Eid Al Fitr

Ramadan began on April 2nd after moon-sighting in KSA. This festival lasts for a month, where Muslims from all around the world fast for an entire month from sunrise to sunset. It ends with Eid Al Fitr! Recently, the Emirates Astronomical Society (EAS) revealed the tentative date for the same!

The Emirates Astronomical Society (EAS) confirmed on Tuesday that Eid Al Fitr will fall on May 2. According to Ibrahim Al Jarwan, Chairman of the EAS Board, the first day of Shawwal in the Islamic calendar is expected to happen on Monday, May 2, 2022. The UAE moon-sighting committee will meet to determine the official Eid start date.
