Emirati Businessman Donates 100 Cars To Dubai Police

What was the last gift you received by a complete stranger? You’re probably not even going to have to think very hard, before you say ummm Nothing! Well, in a fun update on generosity, an Emirati businessman Khalaf Al Habtoor gifted the Dubai police department 100 Mitsubishi Pajero SUVs in appreciation of the force’s efforts to protect the public.

Who Is Khalaf Al Habtoor?

Khalaf Al Habtoor is a billionaire tycoon and founder and chairman of Al Habtoor Group. The Group provides engineering and construction services in hospitality, automotive, real estate, education, and sports sectors globally.

Mr Al Habtoor said, “Dubai is blessed with a high standard of safety and security, and I believe it is my social responsibility to join hands with the government to serve my country and its people. I am proud and happy to partner with Dubai Police in enhancing the sense of safety in our country.”

Incidentally, this isn’t the first time the philanthropist has shown such kindness. In Ramadan 2022, he donated AED 10 million to the One Billion Meals campaign to cover the cost of essential food items.

Lt Gen Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, commander-in-chief of Dubai Police thanked the tycoon saying, “Khalaf Al Habtoor is one of the distinguished personalities in the UAE. He has been contributing to the development of the emirates since their union with his charitable spirit and left his marks in many fields to serve the community and its people.”
