Feast Mode On: Where To Get Your Vishu Sadhya Fix In Dubai

Vishu, the traditional New Year festival of Kerala, is almost knocking at our doors. And what better time than this for new beginnings, embracing vibrant customs, and diving into heartwarming feasts. While it’s celebrated most fervently in Kerala, Malayali expats in the UAE have ensured that the spirit of Vishu thrives just as strongly abroad. From setting up the Vishukkani to donning new clothes (Vishu Kodi) and exchanging tokens of prosperity (Vishukkaineetam), every part of the celebration is steeped in joy and nostalgia. But perhaps the most anticipated part of Vishu is the Vishu Sadhya – a grand vegetarian feast served on a banana leaf, featuring an array of over 20 traditional dishes including avial, thoran, sambar, olan, kootu curry, payasam, and more. And if you’re in the UAE this festive season, there’s no reason to miss out on this indulgent experience.

Several popular Kerala restaurants across Dubai and beyond are rolling out special Vishu Sadya menus. Here’s where to go:
