Yesterday 3rd November was the 10th UAE Flag Day. On that momentous occasion, thousands of people across the Emirate raised the UAE flag. In probably the most prominent display, 4000 flags were placed in the sand to form the image of the country’s Founding Father, Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed, when viewed from above.
The garden is open for viewing and honours our founding father’s ambitious vision and leading contributions to the UAE’s development.
Mona Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and Director General of GDMO, said: “The ‘Flag Garden’ has become a landmark event organised annually to mark the UAE Flag Day, attracting huge interest from visitors and residents across the UAE who want to participate in the national occasion and celebrate the country’s achievements.”
