The project has been brought to light by Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s zero-hunger vision for the UAE – “no one will go hungry in the land of the Emirates.”
“Sabil Bread is an innovative charitable initiative that supports the needy groups and consolidates the UAE’s humanitarian position,” a statement on Wam said. The idea of ”bread for all” is an initiative of offering free bread throughout the vending machines placed in Dubai. The launch was issued by The Mohammed bin Rashid Global Centre for Endowment Consultancy (MBRGCEC).
The vending machines, which are installed in 10 Aswaaq locations across Dubai, offer “freshly made” bread with the push of a button. The effort is intended primarily at underprivileged families and laborers in the emirate. The contribution is open to all and is a financial support to the campaign as well. It can be done through vending machines, online, or by contacting the organizers directly.
