What Is Rainy Street?
Rainy Street is Dubai’s latest trend, situated right off the mainland of Dubai, on The World Islands. Unlike the rest of the city, this street is always raining, bringing you the cosiest morning tea and afternoon lunches. Rainy Street, located in Côte d’Azur Resort – The Heart of Europe Hotel, is finally open to the public. The French Rivera-inspired street is solar powered and climate controlled. Sitting at a constant temperature of 27°C, with humidity set to 60 per cent and winds of 5km/h. This one-kilometre-long street proves to bring a vibrant atmosphere with a variety of street cafes, casual dining establishments, boutique retail stores, and souvenir shops. Rainy Street will also organise festivals throughout the year to captivate both local residents and visitors from around the world.
The developers of Rainy Street have expressed how they hope “will bring the European ambience closer to the heart of Dubai, especially during the heated summer months. The climate-control feature signals The Heart of Europe’s commitment in designing environmentally friendly structures as well as employing state-of-the-art technology to reduce energy consumption, all while reflecting the new challenges faced by responsible and forward-thinking developers.”
