Here’s How You Can Still Park For Free At Dubai Mall To Avoid New Salik Parking Fees

Starting Monday, July 1, 2024, Dubai Mall is rolling out a new parking system in partnership with Salik. First announced in December 2023, this new barrier-free parking fee system means that you’ll need a Salik tag and an activated Salik account to park at the mall. Fees will be automatically charged using vehicle plate recognition when you enter and exit the parking areas. However, don’t think that all hope is lost just yet. Where & When Do Salik Fees Apply

The parking fees apply to Grand Parking, Cinema Parking, and Fashion Parking. The first four hours on weekdays and six hours on weekends are free, but after that, your Salik account will be charged. Here’s the breakdown of the fees:

Monday To Thursday:

  • 4-5 hours: AED 40
  • 5-6 hours: AED 60
  • 6-7 hours: AED 80
  • 8-12 hours: AED 100
  • 12-24 hours: AED 500
  • 24 hours+: AED 1,000

Monday To Thursday:

  • 6-7 hours: AED 80
  • 7-8 hours: AED 100
  • 8-12 hours: AED 200
  • 12-24 hours: AED 500
  • 24 hours+: AED 1,000

How To Get Free Parking All Day

Want to shop all day at Dubai Mall without paying for parking? You’re in luck! There are two parking areas where you can park for free all day long: Zabeel and Fountain Views parking.

Zabeel Parking

Dubai Mall Zabeel is an extension of the main mall, offering 3,000 free parking spaces. The bridge is connected to Dubai Mall via a quick two-minute link bridge, dropping you off near the Grand Parking area.

Another great option for free all-day parking is the Fountain Views parking, located on Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard across from Dubai Mall’s China Town. You can access this parking area via Al Asayel Street, behind the boulevard.

Fountain Views is not just about free parking; it’s a vibrant area with top-notch restaurants, hotels, a licensed cinema (CinemaCity), a supermarket, cafés, and more. From here, you can easily access Dubai Mall by crossing a bridge or walking into the China Town extension.
