Who doesn’t love King Khan? The King of Bollywood is going to be in the UAE this week and will be honoured at the Sharjah International Book Fair 2022 on Friday, 11th November. The Fair recently took to their Instagram page to make the announcement.
Shah Rukh Khan will be honoured for his work and will be receiving the first Global Icon of Cinema and Cultural Narrative honour at the 41st Sharjah International Book Fair. The awards are expected to take place at around 6pm. SIBF said the award is for helping to, “create cultural ties between varying identities and helping transcend cultural barriers.”

Interestingly, Shah Rukh Khan and the UAE have had a long standing relationship. He is the ambassador for Dubai, and has been featured in multiple tourism ads.
In fact, the megastar is so well loved that just recently the Burj Khalifa lit up with wishes for his 57th birthday, to the song ‘Tujhe Dekha Toh’ from his popular film Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge.
