Here’s How Indians Can Apply For The UAE Amnesty Visa In Dubai & Abu Dhabi For Free

In line with the UAE government’s amnesty programme running until October 30th, the Indian Consulate in UAE has announced steps to assist illegal Indian nationals overstaying in the UAE. Those who wish to return to India can obtain Emergency Certificates (ECs) for free. These ECs will be available at facilitation counters set up in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Where To Collect Your Emergency Certificate In Dubai?

Starting from September 2, applicants can collect their ECs from the Indian consulate in Dubai (located in Umm Hurair 1) between 2 pm and 4 pm. Indians looking to claim this visa can only collect their ECs 24 hours after they submit their Amnesty Visa application.

For those seeking to regularise their residency, short-validity passports are available at BLS Centres in Dubai and the Northern Emirates. The centres will accept walk-in applicants without requiring appointments, and they will be open on all Sundays from 9 am to 5 pm during the amnesty period.

The consulate has set up a dedicated helpline at 050-9433111, available from 8 am to 6 pm. Additionally, the PBSK Helpline (800-46342) operates 24/7, ensuring that Indian nationals have access to the necessary support whenever they need it.

Where To Collect Your Emergency Certificate In Abu Dhabi?

For those wishing to return to India from Abu Dhabi, the Indian embassy will issue your ECs from the Consular Office in Abu Dhabi, located on the first floor of Guardian Tower in the Al Saadah Zone, between 4 pm and 6 pm. Indians looking to claim this visa can only collect their ECs 24 hours after they submit their Amnesty Visa application.

Expats looking to regularise their residency status can apply for short-validity passports at the BLS centres in Abu Dhabi. During the amnesty period, BLS centres in Al Reem, Musaffah, and Al Ain are available for walk-in appointments every Sunday from 9 am to 5 pm.

These measures reflect the Indian government’s commitment to supporting its nationals during the amnesty period, making the process as smooth as possible for those who need to return home or regularize their status.
