What about Commemoration Day you ask? Previously called Martyrs’ Day, Commemoration Day is held on November 30 and every year the UAE holds a a minute of silence at 11:30 AM to honour those who have given their lives for the country. While, unfortunately, this day may not always translate into a public holiday, in recent years we have seen the UAE give a day off on December 1st. However, this year November 30th and December 1st fall on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, which already makes those dates a work-free day for most people in Dubai.
So, now that you know what’s to come in just 2 more months you can start making plans for your ultimate escape.
