Hold on to your steering wheels, Dubai drivers, because there is only 1 month left until the city’s 10th Salik toll gate is fully operational. One toll gate has already been positioned on Sheikh Zayed Road, between Al Meydan Street and Umm Al Sheif Street, and is pending activation until November. Another gate is also set to open on Business Bay Crossing along Al Khail Road. Come with me, and I’ll break down all the important details for you.

How The New Toll Gates Will Work
The Al Safa South toll gate operates similarly to the Al Mamzar North and South gates. If a motorist passes through both the northern and southern Al Safa gates within an hour and in the same direction, they will only be charged once. Each time a vehicle crosses a toll gate, RFID technology scans the vehicle’s Salik tag, and a toll fee of AED 4 is deducted from the driver’s prepaid account.
Locations Of The New Toll Gates
- Al Safa South Gate: For those heading towards Abu Dhabi, the toll gate is located just after the Dubai Water Canal bridge, near the MedCare Orthopedics and Spine Hospital.
- Business Bay Crossing Gate: Positioned on the other side of Sheikh Zayed Road for drivers heading towards Sharjah, it can be found between United Arab Bank and Pupil of Fate Motors, just before turning onto Al Meydan Street.

Going Green: Solar-Powered Toll Gates
In a step toward sustainability, both the Al Safa South gate and the Business Bay Crossing gate will be nearly 100% powered by solar energy, marking a first for Salik.
Dubai drivers and daily commuters to the city can expect further announcements from RTA and Salik before the gates become active.

October 8, 2024Salik is a type of road Tax and must be deducted from any car once a day or maximum twice. It’s sucking blood from everyone because it’s deduction per car on one road 5 times one way. This is no logic.

October 9, 2024Salik should not take it from the bike rider, we do the delivery, what benefit will it give us, the money we get for delivery will be spent on the honor and life of the salik We want to forgive the biker for the salary

October 9, 2024Salik Toll gate has not reduced the traffic it increased 10 times. Toll is charged not like this in other countries. Dubai should charge max twice in a day. Really not practical. Only pain, stress, tension, accidents giving to people.

October 11, 2024Installation of new toll gates could be of importance if the existing ones were tasking the traffic budden, but since exactly where they are installed is were much traffic occurs then we’re still.going to pay for nothing and on top of that our friends the bike riders should be exempted from toll charges since their amount per order is as low as 7.5aed

November 9, 2024Whats up this is kind of of off topic but I was wondering if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding know-how so I wanted to get advice from someone with experience. Any help would be enormously appreciated!
