The new Hindu Temple has officially opened doors to the public yesterday, 5th October, on the auspicious occasion of Dusshera, and is definitely a must-visit. The temple is a contemporary spiritual hub, for all faiths, that houses the many faces of divinity from communal connection to worship, knowledge and societal aid.
What this essentially means is that the temple is open to people of all faiths. This was translated into reality by the fact that Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak and India’s ambassador to the UAE, Sunjay Sudhir were present for the candle ceremony.
The ideation for the temple began in 2020, with the project coming to fruition in 2022 with the completion of the 80,000 square foot structure.
The Hindu temple in Dubai is located in the ‘Worship Village’ in Jebel Ali and will be opening in 2 phases:
