New Hindu Temple In Dubai Built At Cost Of AED 60 Mn Is Officially Open To Public

The new Hindu Temple has officially opened doors to the public yesterday, 5th October, on the auspicious occasion of Dusshera, and is definitely a must-visit. The temple is a contemporary spiritual hub, for all faiths, that houses the many faces of divinity from communal connection to worship, knowledge and societal aid.

What this essentially means is that the temple is open to people of all faiths. This was translated into reality by the fact that Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak and India’s ambassador to the UAE, Sunjay Sudhir were present for the candle ceremony.

Temple features:

1. The Hindu temple can accommodate upto nearly one thousand devotees at a time.
2. The architecture itself is an Indo-Arabic blend, making it stand out & look absolutely stunning.
3. There is a prayer room with 16 Deities including North & South Indian Gods, and a Guru Room – Deities brought in from Jaipur and Kanyakumari. The main deity is lord Shiva along with lord Krishna, Ganesha, Mahalakshmi, Guruvayoorappan, Ayyappan and others.
4. Don’t miss out on the 3D pink lotus installation on the ceiling of the 5,000 sqft Prayer Hall
5. Take a look at the marble with intricate finishing brought in from Makrana
6. The ground floor includes 40,000 sqft Community Hall and Knowledge Room
7. There’s a 108 Bell installation at entrance to Prayer Hall

The ideation for the temple began in 2020, with the project coming to fruition in 2022 with the completion of the 80,000 square foot structure.

Directions To Get To The Hindu Temple

The Hindu temple in Dubai is located in the ‘Worship Village’ in Jebel Ali and will be opening in 2 phases:

• Phase 1 is now complete with the temple will open to the public on 5 October 2022.
• Phase 2 will go live by 14 January 2023, where the community room and knowledge room will open to the public, and weddings and private events will be allowed on the temple premises.
