But in a recent turn of events, it seems like we are trying to outdo ourselves. Dubai Creek Tower has plans to become the new ‘World’s Tallest Tower’ – surpassing our own Burj Khalifa. Epic Vision Rising By Dubai Creek
Nestled near the Ras Al Khor National Wildlife Sanctuary, Dubai Creek Tower was all set to become a monumental architectural masterpiece. Inspired by the enchanting Hanging Gardens of Babylon, this ambitious project was designed to include a 360-degree viewing deck. As if that wasn’t enough, a café with enchanting views, a central plaza boasting shops, a museum, and even an indoor auditorium were to grace its base.
Reaching New Heights, Literally
Breathtaking doesn’t even begin to describe it. With soaring aspirations, Dubai Creek Tower was destined to eclipse even the renowned Burj Khalifa. Standing tall at a staggering height of at least 1,300 meters, this marvel aimed to rewrite the skyline’s story. However, with its upcoming changes we are still yet to know if it will tower over Burj Khalifa or not.

When Will The Plans For Change Be Revealed To Dubai?
Amidst the intrigue, one question hangs in the air like morning mist – why the redesign? Emaar Properties promises clarity by April 2024, at the very latest. The anticipation builds, as the city wonders what this new dawn will bring.

Awe-Crafted By Vision
Santiago Calatrava, the visionary architect behind the UAE Pavilion at Expo 2020, also lent his brilliance to the conception of Dubai Creek Tower. Crafted by his ingenious hands, this tower was intended to be a symbol of boundless human ingenuity. With HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum himself marking the tower’s groundbreaking in October 2016, and was initially set to unfold by 2021.

A Pause, Then A Resounding Encore
However, the tower’s construction has faced a hiatus since 2020. Now, after almost four years of anticipation, Mohamed Alabbar, the visionary founder of Emaar Properties, shares a glimpse into the future. The plan is to break ground anew, to lay the foundations by August 2024. The clock ticks with excitement, as we all await to see our skyline redefined.
