Ramadan is one of the holiest months for all Muslims out there. The basic tradition during this holy month is to fast, hence to pay respect to those who are fasting, outdoor dining during the fasting has been prohibited. Authorities in Dubai have confirmed that outdoor dining is completely banned during fasting hours for the whole month of Ramadan.
Though there are some exceptional cases to this rule. On private beaches dining and serving of food is permitted, but it should only take place within the hotel premises. Restaurants in hotels are allowed to serve food in their respective outdoor seating areas. Though shisha will be not allowed during the fasting hours.
