PCR Tests & Various Other COVID-19 Restrictions Removed By Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia will lift all remaining coronavirus restrictions on Saturday, March 5, according to an official source in the Ministry of Interior. Tourists to Saudi Arabia will no longer be required to present a negative PCR test. Visitors will no have to be subjected to Covid-19 quarantine upon arrival in the Kingdom. During their stay in Saudi Arabia, all visitors with visit visas must get medical insurance that covers the costs of treatment for coronavirus infection.

In addition, the Kingdom has lifted the majority of the remaining Covid-19 limitations. Other precautions, such as social separation and wearing masks outside, are no longer required, according to the Saudi Press Agency. Indoors, though, masks are still essential. It will also remove social segregation in the Two Holy Mosques and all mosques throughout the Kingdom, but worshipers will still be required to wear masks.

Saudi Arabia has also abolished the ban on direct flights and arrivals from Afghanistan, Angola, Botswana, Ethiopia, Eswatini, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Seychelles, South Africa, United Republic of Comoros, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
