Ramadan 2024: Changes To Paid Parking & Public Transportation

Dubai RTA has rolled out some major adjustments in paid parking hours and public transportation services for the month of Ramadan, making it easier for residents and visitors to plan their journeys during this holy period. Here is everything you need to know.

Dubai Updates:

Public Paid Parking Timings

As the city gears up for Ramadan, the RTA has tailored the paid parking hours to accommodate those who have to break their fast during sunset. Here are the revised paid parking timings: (It’s essential to note that Tecom-regulated zones (F) will stick to their regular schedule, with fees applicable from 8 am to 6 pm. However, multi-level car parking lots are at your service 24/7, offering convenience around the clock.)

Monday to Saturday:

  • First Shift: 8 am to 6 pm
  • Second Shift: 8 pm to midnight

Sundays:

  • Free Parking

Public Transportation Timings

Public transportation in Dubai remains steadfast during Ramadan, ensuring a smooth and accessible travel experience for all.

Dubai Metro:

Dubai Metro Red and Green line timings:

  • Monday to Thursday: 5 am to midnight
  • Friday: 5 am to 1 am (the following day)
  • Saturday: 5 am to midnight
  • Sunday: 8 am to midnight

Dubai Tram:

  • Monday to Saturday: 6 am to 1 am (the following day)
  • Sunday: 9 am to 1 am (the following day)

Dubai Bus:

  • Monday to Friday: 4.30 am to 12.30 am (the following day)
  • Saturday and Sunday: 6 am to 1 am (the following day)

The timings of the Metro Feeder buses will seamlessly align with the first and last metro timings, ensuring a well-coordinated public transport experience.

Intercity Buses:

For those venturing beyond Dubai during Ramadan, RTA has outlined specific bus routes in operation:

  • To Abu Dhabi: E100, E101, and E102
  • To Al Ain: E201
  • To Sharjah: E303, E306, E307, E307A, and E315
  • To Ajman: E400 and E411
  • To Fujairah: E700
  • To Hatta: E16

Saturday to Thursday:

  • Timings: 8:00 am – 12:00 midnight

Friday

  • Free parking, except in the zones with blue information signs.
  • Please note: ‘The Sharjah Roads and Transportation Authority, in cooperation with the Sharjah Police General Command, announces the implementation of amendments to the timing of truck traffic during the holy month of Ramadan on the streets of the emirate so that traffic will be from (5:30 am to 9:30 am), and the addition of an evening ban period from (2:30 am). 00 noon until 7:00 pm)’
