A hospital in Israel has flown a kidney for a patient in the UAE. This is a part of a brand-new transplant exchange. The kidney which was donated by an Israeli woman was packed in ice for the three-and-a-half-hour flight from Tel Aviv to Abu Dhabi on July 28th. This whole transplant was planned about six months ago and was put into action just recently. “I hope this will open the door for further collaboration in other fields of medicine between our countries,” said the head of the transplant centre, Professor Eytan Mor at the Sheba Medical Centre.
What a beautiful story:
This Wednesday, Shani from Israel 🇮🇱 will donate a kidney to a patient in the UAE 🇦🇪, while a patient in Israel will receive a transplant from a donor in the UAE.
