If you find yourself taking the metro every day in the name of ‘saving money’, what if I told you there was a way to save even more money? Let’s do some math together, and it’ll make more sense. Let’s say you use the silver cabins at least once a day; that means you have to make sure there is at least AED 7.50 on your NOL card at all times since that is the minimum balance for silver NOL cards. Now, if you take 7.50 and multiply it by 365 days, that brings you to a grand total of AED 2,737.50! That’s almost AED 3000 you’re spending on single trips in the metro/bus every year. Now, if you use the metro more than twice every day, you’re spending upwards of AED 6000 every year! My wallet is already hurting just thinking about spending all this money.
But there is a better way out there. The annual Dubai metro pass can help you save big bucks while travelling on public transportation in the city. Now that you’ve seen the math, come with me, and I’ll show you just how much less you could be spending instead with the annual passes!
