In an announcement by Mohammed Hassan Khalaf, through the “Direct Line” programme, via Sharjah Radio, it was said that Sharjah will build a new mosque at Al Hirah beach.
The directive came from His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

Al Hirah is a relatively new beach within the city of Sharjah and extends over a 3.5-kilometre stretch across the shoreline overlooking the Arabian Gulf in the Al Fisht area in Sharjah.
It comprises of three clusters with 6 retail units in each, featuring 18 restaurants and cafes, a promenade, marina, sports facilities and service amenities. The location of the mosque has still not been made clear.
