After the hike in fuel prices in the past months, taxi fares had also hiked in July. But Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority reduced the price last month to AED 15.50 in August from AED 17.50 in July as the fuel prices where dropped. Furthermore, with fuel prices dropping in September the taxi fare has gone down by AED 1. This means the taximeter starts at AED 4 with a minimum fare of AED 14.50 compared to AED 15.50 in August.
The night fare starts at AED 6 with a minimum fare of 16.5 compared to AED 17.50 in August
Super 98 gasoline prices will Decrease to AED 3.41 litre on September 1, from AED 4.03 per litre in August. Furthermore, Special 95 will be priced at AED 3.30 per litre, from AED 3.92, & Diesel will cost AED 3.87 per litre, a decrease from AED 4.14 in August.
