Sharjah is gearing up for a spectacular Eid Al Etihad celebration to mark the UAE’s 53rd year of unity. The celebrations will be packed with exciting events, family-friendly activities, and charity performances, taking place across various cultural and tourist spots in Sharjah, starting from Today, November 21 until the big day – Monday, December 2nd! A Diverse Celebration Across Sharjah

From November 21 to December 2, Sharjah will transform into a hub of festivities, with a mix of cultural exhibitions, performances, and entertainment suitable for all ages. The city has planned something special for everyone, from traditional folk shows to fun-filled competitions. Let’s take a look at what celebrations are going around town:

1. Mleiha

The festivities begin in Mleiha on November 21 with a bang! At the Heritage Village, the day will kick off with a colourful national march. Visitors can enjoy traditional folk performances, a theatrical play, and a variety of competitions. A special heritage area will feature a Bedouin tent, local family exhibitions, and a space for government institutions to share their services. There will also be a free play area for children, making it the perfect spot for a family outing.

2. Al Madam

On November 22, Al Madam will host an array of cultural events, including heritage performances, kids’ activities, and poetry sessions. The day will end with a spectacular fireworks display, lighting up the night sky in a beautiful tribute to the nation.

3. Khorfakkan

Khorfakkan will celebrate from November 22 to 24, with a jam-packed schedule at the Khorfakkan Amphitheatre. The celebrations will kick off with the national anthem and continue with poetry recitals, school performances, and a lively show by the Al Mazyood military band. In addition, visitors can participate in art workshops and enjoy traditional performances. The event will wrap up with a musical folk performance and fun competitions for all to enjoy. And, on December 1, Khorfakkan Amphitheatre will host a special charity musical event, with all proceeds going to The Big Heart Foundation.

4. Dibba Al Hisn & Wadi Al Helo

On November 23, Dibba Al Hisn will celebrate with a public march followed by folk performances. The evening will feature a national operetta, showcasing poetry, folk arts, and military segments. A few days later, on November 24, Wadi Al Helo will celebrate with a mix of folk performances, poetry, and an awards ceremony, offering a unique blend of culture and creativity.

5. Al Dhaid

Al Dhaid City will host a National Day march on November 27, starting from the Grand Mosque and ending at Al Dhaid Fort. The celebrations will continue until December 1, featuring traditional folk performances and plenty of cultural activities.

6. Al Hamriyah

Sharjah

Al Hamriyah Beach Park and Creek will host events on November 27 and 28, beginning with a march under the theme “A Nation’s Journey.” The festivities will also include interactive workshops for kids and a special entertainment session for senior citizens. The second day of events will feature poetry, folk songs, school performances, and sports competitions hosted by Al Hamriyah Club.

7. Al Bataeh

From November 28 to 30, Al Bataeh will celebrate with a series of heritage-focused events. Expect a traditional folk parade involving government agencies, local residents, schools, and arts groups. Horse and classic car parades will also be on display, alongside the “Union Bus” tours that will distribute flags and National Day gifts to residential areas. There will also be live folklore performances and entertainment for children in local parks.
