To make it easier for visitors to reach the mosque, 10 free buses will be in operation. These shuttles will run between the Bus Interchange in Al Rabdan and the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, ensuring convenient access, particularly for Taraweeh and late-night prayers in the last 10 days of the holy month.
For those relying on taxis, 100 taxis have been allocated daily for mosque visitors. As the demand rises in the last 10 days of Ramadan, even more taxis will be deployed to accommodate the increasing number of worshippers.
If you didn’t know, the Grand Mosque also offers free Iftar meals. More than 425 chefs, stewards, and drivers work together to hand out a staggering 30,000 meals before sunset. How much ingredients does that require? A whopping 15,000kg of chicken, 4,000kg of rice, 6,000kg of vegetables, and 230kg of aromatic spices. Every single day, over 30,000 people show up for Iftar on weekdays, and that number skyrockets to 50,000 on weekends. The Iftar includes, rice with meat, fresh salads, hearty soups, juicy fruits, and refreshing drinks like ayran and orange juice.
With these transportation services in place, visiting Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque will be easier and stress-free. This allows worshippers more time to focus on their prayers during this sacred time.
