‘The Jet ZeroEmission’ is the world’s first hydrogen-powered flying boat. It is due to be produced and released in Dubai, according to a press release from the Dubai Media Office. The eco-friendly watercraft creates no waves, emits no noise, and seems to ‘fly’ 80cm above the water at 35-40 mph.
The innovative boat, which is designed by L’Hydroptère, can accommodate up to 12 passengers at a time. It will also include various cutting-edge features and technology. With two fuel cells and an air conditioner, the ecologically friendly technology helps cut carbon emissions.
Alain Thébault, the Founder of THE JET ZeroEmission, said: “Dubai is an ideal destination for innovators and companies from around the world to develop their innovative projects and reach their desired success, which is why we have announced ‘The Jet’, a project that I had the privilege of conceiving with the team.”

According to the Dubai Renewable Energy Strategy 2050, the city aspires to provide 75% of its energy needs from renewable sources by 2050. The Strategic approach also aims to establish Dubai as a global hub for clean energy and the green economy, which this big initiative perfectly complements. The Jet seeks to provide a handpicked boat journey across the waterways of the world’s most beautiful seashores, rivers, and lakes. There was no indication of when we may expect to see the boat launched.
