Solar-Powered Trams: The Heart Of The Project

Central to the Dubai Green Spine project are 100% solar-powered trams supported by a robust 300-megawatt solar energy system. This clean energy solution is designed to reduce the city’s carbon footprint and shift dependency from cars to more sustainable modes of transport. These solar-powered trams not only promote greener commutes but also represent a significant step towards a more sustainable future for Dubai.

The project also emphasises enhancing community and biodiversity through extensive green spaces. These areas are designed to beautify the urban landscape while playing critical roles in environmental health and community well-being. Extensive pedestrian and cycling paths will connect these green spaces, significantly improving walkability and reducing the need for automobiles.

Mixed-Use Developments For Urban Connectivity

To further boost urban connectivity and community interaction, the project integrates mixed-use developments. These areas will combine residential, commercial, and recreational spaces strategically positioned to ensure that daily amenities are within convenient reach. This approach fosters a dynamic urban life, making it easier for residents to access what they need without long commutes.
