Expo 2020 Dubai is on track to surpass 15 million total visitors this week, thanks to thrilling events such as the Coldplay performance at Al Wasl Plaza last week. With many more high-profile names scheduled to be revealed in the coming weeks, those figures are expected to rise even more, according to a statement released today.
Total visits stood at 14,719,277 as of February 21, just days after Coldplay’s memorable concert on February 15, part of Expo 2020 Dubai’s Infinite Nights Series, which united the British band’s and the UAE’s shared goals – inspiring climate awareness and driving action to preserve our planet in support of Expo’s Programme for People and Planet and alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
With fewer than 40 days to go, local visits have increased 128% in the last six weeks, while overseas visits have increased 19%, owing mostly to the release of the new AED 50 Season Finale Pass.
