The UAE has now administered 15.5 million vaccine doses. Bloomberg’s vaccine tracker data stated that about 72.1% of the UAE’s population has been given two doses of the vaccine beating Seychelles where 71.7% of the population has been given two doses.
The Ministry of Health and Prevention (Mohap) has now approved the Moderna vaccine as well. Hence now the UAE has five different vaccines (Moderna, Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Sinopharm and Sputnik). For citizens and residents, the vaccine is completely free of cost.
