UAE: 2 Passenger Stations Confirmed By Etihad Rails

And it’s all thanks to Etihad Rail’s new passenger train service! This high-speed rail network, travelling at 200 km/h, is set to transform we travel between the 7 Emirates. Fast & Convenient Journeys

The Etihad Rail network will connect 11 cities and regions across the UAE, from Al Sila to Fujairah. For example, you’ll be able to travel from Abu Dhabi to Al Ruwais in just 70 minutes, covering 240 km quickly and comfortably. Trips to Fujairah will take 105 minutes, giving you an easy, hassle-free alternative to driving. More destinations and travel times will be announced soon, but the future of fast, seamless travel is finally closer than ever.

Confirmed Passenger Stations

Two major station locations have already been confirmed: Sakamkam in Fujairah and University City in Sharjah. These stops will make it easy for travellers to access the train network from across the country. Expect more station announcements as the rail system gets closer to its official launch. Once the service is fully operational, it’s expected to carry around 36.5 million passengers every year, connecting people and cities faster than ever before.

Modern Comfort On The Move

Inside, these trains are designed for comfort and style. With modern, silver-and-grey interiors, the seating is similar to airplane cabins, offering different classes for passengers. Seats are arranged in a spacious 2+2 format, and the compartments are divided by electric doors. Each train section is equipped with TV screens showing live updates on the train’s location and expected arrival times. With 15 luxury carriages, the trains will take passengers on a scenic ride through the UAE’s diverse landscapes, from the bustling cities of Abu Dhabi and Dubai to the natural beauty of Fujairah and the Liwa desert.

With the launch of the passenger rail service just around the corner, travelling across the UAE is about to become faster, more convenient, and incredibly comfortable.
