Standardized Fines for Overstaying Visas

Under the new policy, individuals who exceed their visa validity period will now be subject to a streamlined fine structure. Rather than the previous fine of Dh100 per day, the updated regulation sets the overstay fine at Dh50 per day. This reduction in the fine amount is expected to alleviate the financial burden on those who may inadvertently overstay their visas and create a fairer system for penalty assessment.
